I am in Utah, so I doubt I will find anyone in the area who is taking the course, however I think doing study sessions over g+, or something similar, could be very helpful. I just finished programming assignment 1, so if anyone needs help or wants to discuss that let me know.
Little bit of background:
A few weeks ago I made a post on here asking for advice for becoming more qualified for data science positions. The consensus was to increase my software engineering skills. In an effort to do this I am learning Java and taking the Recommender Systems course. I am hoping this will help me get more experience in building software that consumers would actually use as opposed to writing statistical analytic software that is really only used by people at my company.
