Machine Learning job for Msc.

Hi everyone ! I just got my Master's degree in applied mathematics (optimization and operations research ), and I've been interested in Machine Learning, o more broadly, Data Science for quite some time now ( read books on the subjects, learned python and the relevant libraries, and I already know R, C++ and Java). What is then the best way to land a job in the field, what are companies looking for exactly, and what skills should I try to learn/refine in order to make myself more employable ?
