What are some good data visualization and performance measures for machine learning?

For most of you doing research, and those of you who are looking to get into it, this would be of great benefit to know.

The performance measures I'm familiar with are ROC (Receiver Operating Characteristic), AUC (Area under curve) and Confusion Matrices.

For data visualization, I know of PCA.. and that's bout it folks. Help!
