My department is buying me a new laptop, and I could use some help laying out the specs. The sky is certainly not the limit w/ regards to price (so no apple products; I'll be working on ubuntu). I don't really do machine learning (I do a lot of MCMC simulations), but I figured you guys would know what's up.
Can you help with specs? processing power, memory, etc?
