Statistics for Use of Machine Learning in Industry?

I'm trying to find out what the biggest uses of machine learning are in industry, but am having trouble finding any hard stats. I guess "use in industry" may be a little hard to quantify, so I tried searching for R&D spending statistics - to no avail.

Some queries I've tried:
