I have started a project called ANCEM, which seeks to classify music according to the multi-dimensional theory of emotion (activation & pleasantness).
As I am using a neural network, I need to provide ANCEM with large amounts of training data so that it can be used in practice. Thus, I am asking for assistance in creating training data in a very particular format. If you would like to help, or are even just interested in the project, please visit this website and submit a few music samples for the network to train on.
An example of a sample is this track, which would represent relaxation, or emotion #13 according to the table on the site.
Ultimately, I plan to create an app that can be used on a mobile device that will look at all the music in your library and sort it by emotion. The app will then allow you to play music based on how you are feeling at that moment.
