Algoritm results comparison in a production env.

I remember a concept when studying( and forgot to take notes) fraud detection with genetic algoritms that is called "concurrent model" or something like that ( I really don't remember ) The basic idea is that two or more models compete against each other and once we have a best fit we promote the winner to Master and start a new generation.

So I ask you my fellow mls, do you know this concept? could you please point me to the right bibliography?
