Goal for machine learning noob?

I'm looking to set a 3-month goal of what I'll be able to do or know in the field of machine learning. This will be my first 3 months of attention I give to the subject. I'll be able to invest 6 hours weekly.

What would your suggestions be for a suitable goal?
