Ask ML: Transforming large dataset for data analysis and then applying a machine learning technique.

Hi, so I have come to this subreddit for all of your guys expertise in Machine learning. I am tasked with accessing a large dataset, transforming it ready for data analysis and then applying a machine learning technique of my choice to perform either a classification, association, numerical prediction or clustering task.

So, what I would like to know, is if any of you guys know of any good pieces of software to do any of the above, and any good resources to help me do this. I am not asking for you guys to do the work for me, just to point me in the right direction hopefully 😁 as I need to evaluate what I did and why in a report! Thanks!!
