What I mean is that even if say Elon Musk develops liquid rockets rest of his life, that paradigm will never lead to faster than light travel. To accomplish that you need something completely different like warp drive or wormhole technology.
So do you think that just developing better deep learning algorithms etc will lead to Strong AI or do we need something completely new like from going from liquid rockets to warp drive?
