Project Suggestions for Machine Learning

I have a basic knowledge of machine learning. I have to do a project related to machine learning which needs to be completed in 3 months and is worth a lot of credits for my course in college.

So, I request /r/MachineLearning to kindly suggest some good and innovative projects that will be fun to do. More details on references and datasets will also be much appreciated.
